Menge:
Killswitch Engage's Alive Or Just Breathing on CD. Bassist Mike D'Antonio summed up the band's sound with a memorable image: a molten metal, 80-foot-tall King Cobra locked in a Battle Royale-style cage match with Godzilla. Scary at times, crushing at others, as he put it.
Kerrang! described the record in its January 2002 issue as the band stapling technical riffs to ugly, bruising hardcore — and made clear that nu-metal isn't part of the deal.
