Housed in a 12 x 12 hardcover book, THE DOORS: 50TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION gathers the album's remastered original stereo mix, which appears on CD for the first time in a decade and has been remastered for the first time in nearly 30 years. That same set also carries the newly remastered original mono mix, making its CD debut here, plus an LP version of the mono mix.
Disc three shifts to the stage: live performances from The Matrix in San Francisco, taped only weeks after The Doors came out. Music journalist David Fricke wrote the detailed liner notes, and the package includes rare and previously unseen photographs.
