Guitarist and producer Jimmy Page remastered Coda for 2015, and the set comes with companion audio made up of music that had never been released before.
Coda was Led Zeppelin's last studio album, and the title fits. It arrived in 1982 with eight unreleased tracks cut between 1970 and 1978, reached #6 on the album charts, and went platinum in the U.S.
Two companion discs close out the reissue campaign, holding 15 tracks recorded between 1968 and 1974. Sugar Mama, a frenetic blues jam taped in 1968 at Olympic Studios during sessions for the band's debut, may be the most interesting piece here; it was finished but never officially released until now. Baby Come On Home, from that same session, also appears. So does the previously unreleased St. Tristan's Sword, an instrumental from the Led Zeppelin III sessions in 1970.
