Mastodon Hushed and Grim 180gm Clear Vinyl 2LP

Mastodon's ninth full-length album, HUSHED AND GRIM, arrives on October 29, 2021 through Reprise Records. The band cut it in their hometown over the past year, working with producer David Bottrill [Tool, Rush, Muse, Peter Gabriel] at the board. Fifteen tracks make up what they call their most ambitious body of work so far, moving through rock, psychedelia, punk, metal, alternative, and prog, all held together by the four musicians' expressive interplay. A mood of loss, loneliness, and longing runs through the trio of cathartic vocals as the group says goodbye in music to old friend, confidant, and longtime manager the late Nick John, building a magnum opus shaped by his memory.
