Philip Weinrobe produced 'The Closest We'll Get' EP, and the record grew out of sessions in Brooklyn, NY. Weinrobe has worked with Adrianne Lenker, Billie Marten and Cass McCombs, and here his offbeat production style meets Nell's folk leanings for a raw, natural body of work.
"The Closest We'll Get is a collection of songs that tell a story about two people and how their relationship is in the grey area of friends or lovers. Each song is a realisation of how sitting in the in-between affected me and in turn affected the 'friendship.'" - Nell Mescal
