Rodrigo y Gabriela In Between Thoughts...A New World D2C Exclusive Custom Color 2LP

Two records, two looks: LP 1 comes on Translucent Galaxy and LP 2 on Opaque Galaxy. This ⟦K0⟧ exclusive deluxe double LP also carries an etching, and the whole package is pressed on custom colors.

In Between Thoughts…A New World tells its story without a single word. Mixed by James Monti (The Who, The Head and the Heart) and mastered by Greg Calbi (Tame Impala, Beach House), the record moves through a full narrative arc, with plot turns and plenty of dramatic tension along the way.

You'll hear a clear break from the duo's usual acoustic setup. Rodrigo swaps his acoustic guitar for an electric, and the shift brings a mercurial new energy, helped along by subtle use of analog synths, Mellotron and other electronic instruments. Working remotely with Vienna-based composer Adam Ilyas Kuruc and The Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra, Rodrigo y Gabriela added lush strings and powerful percussion to their serpentine arrangements.

What stays is the interplay that has always set them apart: Gabriela's potent, percussive strumming against Rodrigo's breathlessly fast yet intricate lead lines.
