PigPen Theatre Co. wrote the lyrics and score for the WATER FOR ELEPHANTS Original Broadway Cast Recording, pressed here as a single CD. What you hear is a soaring, dazzling set of songs from the musical that drew critical praise during its Broadway run.
The disc comes with a 40-page booklet. Inside it you get the full libretto, a synopsis, and a liner note from book-writer Rick Elice, plus production photos shot during the show.
If you followed the stage production or you just want the words in front of you while the score plays, that booklet is the reason to pick up this edition rather than a bare download.
