Alex Warren built a following with skateboarding clips and comedy vlogs on YouTube, then moved from behind the camera into the studio to share his own singer/songwriter pop. Music took over by 2021, and the songs that followed were confessional and quivering, wrapped in layers of gossamer electronics that recall electronic-leaning writers like Jack Garratt.
Those glossy textures give his open-hearted melodies somewhere to sit, and they carry the weight of losing both parents at an early age. The California native charted abroad in early 2024 with "Before You Leave Me," then came "Save You a Seat," the foot-stomping "Carry You Home," and his Billboard Hot 100 debut, "Burning Down."
