Bat Out Of Hell de Jim Steinman s'est vendu à plus de 50 millions d'exemplaires dans le monde. Seize ans plus tard, Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell lui a valu un nouveau succès avec « I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) ».
Pour la version scénique, Steinman a intégré dans la partition des chansons des deux albums Bat Out Of Hell – « You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth », « Bat Out Of Hell », « I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) » et « Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad » – et y a ajouté deux titres inédits, « What Part of My Body Hurts the Most » et « Not Allowed to Love ».
